Anglican Churches in
India which was not prepared to compromise with
ecumenical and the liberal theology of
the World Council of Churches [ WCC ] , stood separate since
1964 under the leadership of late
Arch Bishop Dr. V. J. Stephen , of
Kerala, South India.
The Church of
England turned down their request to recognize the Churches adhering
to the Original Anglican Faith.
In 1990 Arch Bishop Dr. Stephen Vattappara
convened such Dioceses and Churches from all over India and together
formed a Synod of all
Anglican Churches in India , standing
isolated and functioning independently.
Henceforth , ACI
grew and spread in to different States of India. Now there are
Dioceses and Churches in Twelve States in India.
