Synod:

Anglican Churches in India which was not prepared to compromise with  ecumenical and the liberal theology of  the World Council of Churches [ WCC ] , stood separate since 1964 under the leadership of late  Arch Bishop Dr. V. J. Stephen , of  Kerala, South India.

The Church of England turned down their request to recognize the Churches adhering to  the Original Anglican Faith.

In 1990 Arch Bishop Dr. Stephen Vattappara convened such Dioceses and Churches from all over India and together formed a Synod of all Anglican Churches in India , standing  isolated and functioning independently.

Henceforth , ACI grew and spread in to different States of India. Now there are Dioceses and Churches in Twelve States in India.
